The problem with this is that these gases are able to store far more heat than our atmosphere normally does. The result is a <b>greenhouse effect</b>, under which the <b>temperature of the planet</b> is increasing. This rise in the global temperature can lead to ecosystems failing, species dying out, and an increase in extreme weather events (storms, floods, droughts).

The key to <b>saving our planet</b> lies in jointly working on lowering our carbon footprint.
